- Targeted UVA spectrum: A combination of 365 nm and 395 nm wavelengths to maximise the phytochemical response of plants during the flowering phase.
- Improved quality: Promotes more intense aromas, richer colours and more pronounced trichome formation.
- Smart design: Robust aluminium unibody housing with IP65 protection (dust and splash-proof) for a long service life in humid growing conditions.
- Flexible mounting: Unique magnetic mounting system for tent poles or fabric walls.
The components in detail
Precision UV strips (2 pieces)
Each of the 28 cm long strips is designed for maximum efficiency. The solid aluminium board acts as a passive heat sink and protects the diodes from overheating.
- Coverage: 2 bars ideal for areas up to 90 x 90 cm; 4 bars are recommended for 120 x 120 cm.
Digital controller & UIS™ integration
The included controller offers full control over the intensity and duration of the UV exposure.
- Dimmability: 10 levels for gradually acclimatising plants to the UV light.
- UIS™ platform: Fully compatible with the CONTROLLER AI+. Enables integration into complex growth cycles and control via the AC Infinity app.
Magnetic mounting system
The strips can attach directly to the steel poles of the grow tent. Special magnetic counterparts (additional poles) are included for mounting on the side walls.

Safety instructions & operating warnings
1. UV radiation (IONBEAM U2)
- Eye protection: Never look directly into the switched-on UV LEDs. UVA radiation can damage the retina upon direct contact. Always wear UV safety goggles when working in the tent.
- Skin protection: Prolonged contact with UV light can cause skin irritation. Switch off the UV strips if you are working directly on the plants for an extended period.
- Plant stress: UV light is very high-energy.
Start with a low dimming level (levels 1–3) and short intervals to acclimatise your plants to the ‘artificial sun’ and avoid burns.
2. Electrical & Water
- Moisture: Although components such as the LEDs (IP65) or the fan (IP44) are protected, the system is not waterproof. Avoid direct contact with spray water from pressure sprayers.
- Cable management: Route all power cables so that they do not pose a tripping hazard and cannot come into contact with standing water (e.g. in the base tray).
- Overloading: For the 500W system and the ventilation, use only properly installed and earthed sockets.
3. Fire Safety & Ventilation
Keep clear: Ensure that the LED lights and the inline fan are not covered by fabrics, plastic bags or insulating material. The heat sinks require free air circulation.
Filter maintenance: A clogged pre-filter on the activated carbon filter increases resistance and causes the fan motor to run hotter.
Clean the pre-filter regularly (every 4–8 weeks).
- Stability: Regularly check the suspension points (rope ratchets) on your 500W panel. Due to the vibrations from the circulation fans, fixings may loosen slightly over the course of several months.
Maintenance checklist
- Monthly: Remove dust from the LED diodes (only when switched off and cold!) using a dry microfibre cloth.
- Per run: Check all connectors on the UIS™ system to ensure they are secure.
