Application instructions and safety information for pure terpenes
Safety instructions
- 100% purity: These terpenes are 100% pure and must be handled with care.
- Never consume undiluted: Terpenes must never be consumed or vaporised directly. They must always be diluted in an extract, oil, resin or liquid base.
- Avoid contact: Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Exception (undiluted): When used exclusively for flavouring flowers and extracts, the product may also be applied undiluted. Inhalation, oral ingestion or other direct intake of the pure aroma is strictly prohibited.
- Safety after dilution: Once diluted in the desired product and in the correct ratio, terpenes are 100% safe.
Dosage and dilution
As a guide for dosage, 1 ml of terpenes = 40 drops (0.025 ml per 1 ml drop). Therefore, 1 drop of terpenes corresponds to approximately 0.25% of a 10 ml liquid base.
- Dilution examples (in 10 ml liquid base):
- 1 drop: approx. 0.25%
- 2 drops: 0.50%
- 4 drops: 1%
- 8 drops: 2%
- 12 drops: 3%
- Recommendation: We recommend testing the quantities starting with the lowest amount, as our terpenes have a slightly intense aroma and taste.
Application and recommended quantities
1. Liquid vaping bases (for the production of e-liquids)
- Recommended proportion: Between 1% and 3% terpenes. The most common amount is 2%.
- Maximum amount: Up to 4%.
- Example dosage:
- For 10 ml of e-liquid base with 2% terpenes, you need 0.2 ml of terpenes.
- For 100 ml of e-liquid base with 2% terpenes, you need 2 ml of terpenes.
2. Cannabis extracts and concentrates
- Recommended proportion: Between 1% and 3% terpenes. The norm is 2% to 3%.
- Example dosage: To add 3% terpenes to 10 g of cannabis concentrate, you need 0.3 ml of terpenes.
- Mixing process:
- We strongly recommend testing the amount used and starting small (e.g. 1 drop for 3 g).
- It is important to mix the creation properly and let it steep for at least 24 to 48 hours so that the terpenes are fully absorbed.
3. Hemp or cannabis flowers
- Maximum proportion: No more than 4% terpenes. Often less is needed, as flowers already contain their own terpenes.
- Use: To enhance and improve the aroma.
- Methods:
- The ideal method is to use Terps Spray.
- For smaller quantities (1 g to 10 g), a sheet of drying paper can be sprayed with a few drops of terpenes and placed in an airtight container next to the dried flowers.
- Storage: Store the flowers in airtight and/or vacuum-sealed containers to ensure complete absorption.
4. Edibles and beverages
- Proportion: The correct proportion is much lower than that used in e-liquids or cannabis products.
- Method: We recommend using terpenes in cold processes to prevent evaporation.
- Examples of recommended proportions:
- Ice cream: 0.025 to 0.1 ml for approx. 1 kg.
- Beer: 0.01 to 0.05 ml of terpenes per approx. 1 litre of beer.
- Oils: 0.1 to 0.3 ml of terpenes per approx. 1 litre of oil.
- Honey: 0.1 to 0.5 ml of terpenes for 1 to 2 kg of honey.
- Chocolate: 0.25 to 1 ml per approx. 1 kg.
